Soul Rest (used to be called ‘Essential Rest’):
A monthly Yoga Nidra class in Horton Heath, near Eastleigh, first Monday morning of the month
AND last Tuesday evening of the month in Bishopstoke, Hampshire, UK.

Come to Soul Rest Yoga Nidra if:

  • You feel stressed, anxious or overwhelmed and wish to feel peaceful, relaxed and grounded;
  • You often feel tired and/or low on energy and yearn to feel re-energised and renewed;
  • You wish to connect to a part of you which remains calm, aware and wise no matter what thoughts, feelings or worries are present;
  • You’d love to soothe your body and mind so you can hear the wise whispers of your soul.

In short, you lie down, get comfy and I’ll guide you to a place of deep and profound relaxation! Relax into just being…

Soul Rest is a deeply soothing and unique experience.

This entirely floor-based session guides you to:

  • Release tension from your body with simple, soothing movements;
  • Drift into a deep state of healing relaxation with Yoga Nidra (aka Yogic Sleep): Yoga Nidra has been shown to facilitate the release of the effects of stress; the integration of emotional experiences; and to bring about deep healing and restoration for body and mind;
  • Rejuvenate and nurture mind and soul with energy healing practices.

Soul Rest will take you to a place of deep healing.

It brings about a deep felt-sense of knowing that you have everything you need inside you now to find relief, peace and insight and to know that, fundamentally, you’re OK.

This class is perfect for people who can’t commit to a weekly class but value the opportunity to switch off from day to day life and stress, ground themselves and truly relax. What’s provided & what you need to bring

Please bring:

  • A yoga mat – if you need to borrow one, let me know as I have a few spare
  • A blanket or two – again I do have some spare

I’ll provide:

  • Yoga bolsters
  • Eye pillows
  • Candlelight
  • Relaxing essential oils
  • Soothing music

Why rest?

Every day you’re constantly bombarded with pressure, demands, deadlines, meeting other people’s needs. Your mind ends up in a frantic whirl and your body feels tense. Sometimes you feel SO tired, others wired and you just can’t relax.

You’re human after all! And the human body needs fuel and movement … and rest.

And it’s this third need that all too often gets overlooked in modern life.

If you don’t get enough rest, your body and mind get stuck in a stressed state.

When you are in continual stress-mode, your immune system is suppressed, your digestive system runs poorly, and your muscles are in a constant state of hyper-vigilance getting ready to fight, run or freeze in the presence of danger. (Read more about the hidden costs of stress here.)

Hi, I’m Stella Tomlinson and I guide highly sensitive women to live with peace & purpose.

I work with highly sensitive, intuitive women like you, who feel stuck, overwhelmed and confused and help you to reclaim your connection to yourself and feel more peaceful, whole and in flow with life.
